This role will include clinical lead responsibilities for Rheumatology Physiotherapy Services in P&K. Candidates should have an understanding/knowledge base of advice on the expected benefits and limitations of different physiotherapy interventions used in managing rheumatology and musculoskeletal conditions, providing impartial information and advice on the advantages and disadvantages of specific interventions in the context of other management options and a wider health promotion role. Applicants should have relevant experience working as a Musculoskeletal /Rheumatology Physiotherapist within physical rehabilitation services as well as being able to demonstrate an understanding of the musculoskeletal components of the more commonly seen inflammatory conditions and be able to explain these to patients and carers. Ongoing personal and professional development is essential to provide a quality service and is supported through CPD workshops, TURAS appraisal, IST and involvement within Tayside Practice Development Group. You will be an integral part of the Rheumatology/MSK team with responsibility in teaching both qualified and Student staff and be involved with peer review with APP and other Band 7 colleagues. The service is currently undergoing an exciting programme of transformation which may impact the organisational diagrams shown, operational structures and ways of working in the future.
