Protocol Education is excited to be recruiting SEND Support Assistants for a local SEND school in Lincoln. Role Details:
* Position: SEND Support Assistant
* Location: Lincoln, Local SEND School
* Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
* Age Range: EYFS to KS4 (Dependent on experience)
* Contract Type: Full-time, with potential for permanent placement
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the EYFS to KS4 age range.
* Assisting with personal care and mobility needs as required.
* Encouraging student participation in classroom activities and supporting learning.
* Providing 1:1 and small group support to assist with learning challenges.
* Implementing behaviour management strategies to foster a positive, inclusive environment.
* Collaborating with teachers and staff to monitor and track student progress.
* Promoting student independence and social development in both classroom and social settings.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience working with children or adults with SEND is advantageous, but not essential.
* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
* Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or a related field is desirable but not essential.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with students, staff, and parents effectively.
