Business Development Manager
Location: Hertfordshire
An exciting opportunity has opened for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join a thriving team as a Business Development Manager. This role focuses on identifying and securing new leads, clients, and opportunities while building long-term relationships within the live events and production industry.
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will:
* Proactively seek opportunities to present the company’s services to high-profile events, productions, and clients across the UK and Europe.
* Facilitate the conversion of client inquiries into tangible projects by working closely with the project management team.
* Champion customer relationship management, ensuring long-term engagement and sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Achieve revenue targets through new client acquisition and retention of existing customers.
* Stay updated on trends within the live events and lighting/audio/video/scenic markets.
* Research and identify potential clients and opportunities, establishing strong relationships with decision-makers.
* Prepare and present professional pitch materials to prospective and current clients.
* Collaborate with the Project Management team to track quotes, oversee tenders, and ensure smooth handovers.
* Analyse sales and client data to identify opportunities for repeat business and customer retention.
* Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and trade shows.
* Actively contribute to the company’s strategic planning, including process improvement and operational enhancements.
Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience in building and maintaining client relationships, ideally within the events or live production sector.
* Confident and personable communicator, skilled in engaging with clients through presentations and written communication.
* Commercially astute with strong numeracy and IT skills.
* Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to travel and adjust to changing schedules, including occasional evening and weekend work.
* Full UK driving license required.
