The Grenfell Inquiry Response and Litigation Division (GIRL) is responsible for supporting the new stewardship operating model which has been informed by the lessons learned at the Grenfell Tower Inquiry and supporting the department’s policy response to ongoing civil litigation. This G7 role currently sits within the Grenfell Litigation Strategy Team within GIRL and will support MHCLG’s work in delivering a Restorative Justice programme to the Grenfell community. This is a key role that delivers on priorities for Ministers.
We are looking for candidates with experience in policy development who are looking to bring their expertise to a high profile and sensitive environment in order to make a tangible difference for the communities we serve. It will require close working with the department’s team that lead engagement with the Grenfell community and wider work with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea to ensure to deliver on commitments to support the community for the long term. This is a sensitive and dynamic role. The post-holder will be establishing our work on the Restorative Justice programme, in addition to responding to ongoing and emerging risks, with opportunity for cross-government working and significant stakeholder engagement.
