My client is searching for a Senior Conveyancing Assistant to join their Wakefield, West Yorkshire offices.
The main duties for this role include:
1. Dealing with incoming post
2. Drafting reports from precedents
3. Responding to client and third-party enquiries
4. Processing applications for mortgage funds
5. Preparation of completion statements
6. Dealing with initial instructions
7. Processing client ID checks
8. Some post-completion matters such as SDLT returns, HMLRC requirements, sending deeds to lenders.
9. Closing files on case management system
Skills:
1. Ability to work under own initiative and as a member of a team.
2. Ability to work proactively.
3. Good communication skills
4. Strong organisational and administrative skills
5. Accuracy and attention to detail
6. Computer literate/keyboard skills
7. Data entry skills
Experience:
1. Team working
2. Ideally candidates will have 1 years Conveyancing Experience
3. Experience of Microsoft packages
4. Reasonable knowledge of conveyancing processes and procedures
5. Experience dealing with all types of conveyancing transactions.
Education and Experience:
1. 2 or more A levels or equivalent
2. Proven ability in numeracy and verbal and written communication
3. 5 GCSE or equivalent including English Language and Mathematics
