Main duties of the job
Manage and be responsible for an assigned clinical caseload, using an interdisciplinary, patient-focused, rehabilitative or compensatory approach for a broad range of conditions within the hospital setting. Assess occupational performance, then plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based, client-centered interventions, maintaining records in compliance with standards from the College of Occupational Therapy and Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Bank Band 5 Occupational Therapists will work across several teams within different specialties depending on service demand and staffing levels.

Job responsibilities
Communicate with multidisciplinary team members, families, carers, and external agencies involved in patient management.
Develop skills and knowledge through the competency framework and participate in continuous professional development, in-service training, and other developmental activities.
Screen and prioritize referrals within an assigned caseload, following service standards and referring to other agencies as necessary.
Undertake standardized and non-standardized Occupational Therapy assessments, analyzing them within the context of patients' daily activities, following department standards and protocols.

Qualifications
* Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy
* Registered with the Health Professions Council
* Member of professional body / special interest groups
Experience
* Application of Occupational Therapy process
* Use of functional assessment and activity analysis
* Broad clinical experience (placement level or postgraduate)
* Experience with audit processes
* Planning and coordinating treatment programs
* Experience with a broad range of clinical interventions
