Role Overview The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support pupils both inside and outside the classroom, ensuring they receive the guidance and encouragement needed to achieve their full potential. Responsibilities will include assisting with lesson delivery, working with small groups or individuals, and contributing to the overall positive ethos of the school. Key Responsibilities Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and learning activities. Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning and provide additional support. Assist in the preparation of resources and classroom displays. Help manage pupil behaviour and promote positive attitudes to learning. Provide support for pupils with additional needs, including SEND and EAL learners. Supervise and engage with pupils during break and lunchtime activities. Contribute to the assessment and recording of pupils’ progress. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Person Specification The ideal candidate will have: Experience working with children in a primary school setting. A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or willingness to work towards one). A positive and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and well-being. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively as part of a team. A commitment to promoting safeguarding and pupil welfare.
