Job Description
We are currently seeking a Finance Apprentice to join our Finance team at our Warrington site. As a Finance Apprentice you will will support the central finance department in a variety of tasks such as journal posting and month end reconciliations, gaining valuable skills and insights into financial operations of a £600m business. The successful candidate will be enrolled on the AAT qualification (or similar financial qualification) and will be supported through the apprenticeship scheme to achieve this.
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday Days (8:30 - 5:30)
Salary: £15,000 Per Annum
As the successful candidate, you will contribute to the overall success of the site, and will report directly to the site Senior Assistant Management Accountant
Job responsibilities of Finance Apprentice include:
1. Financial Reporting: Assist in financial reporting of central overhead cost centres, both profit and loss and balance sheet reporting
2. Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems and maintain up-to-date financial records.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Help with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgets.
4. Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
5. Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative duties such as managing the central mailbox and responding to queries from the wider business
Qualifications
As a Finance Apprentice you will possess the following skill, experiences and qualifications:
6. GCSEs including Maths and English at grade 5 or above are essential
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
8. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
12. Professional attitude and appearance.
13. Reliable and punctual.
14. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
