NSF are a global certification body that operate a number of plant and animal-based assurance schemes. We audit and certify that farms meet scheme owner standards. We have an exciting opportunity for you to join NSF as an Agriculture Audit Manager within our Agriculture team. You will carry out assessments on farm against various Agricultural Assurance Schemes, across Arable, Product, and Livestock sectors, in accordance with documented procedures and maintain full notes of all such audits. A key part of the role would also be the evaluation and active involvement in the training of assessors and on-going performance maintenance. Responsibilities Including, but not limited to: End to end management a team of Assessors (recruitment/on-boarding to final sign-off) To provide support and guidance to assessors and be their first point of contact To undertake witness audits during the onboarding programme and routine witness programme To facilitate shadow audits during the onboarding programme and performance monitoring programme To carry out assessments against client specific standards To produce full accurate assessment reports within the timescale agreed with the customer or laid down in procedures or to the scheme requirements To keep abreast of developments, issues and legislative changes pertaining to the sectors in which assessments are carried out To undertake Short notice audits as required which may be out of the usual work area To carry out specific project work or other tasks within Audit Delivery as agreed Achieve a utilization target of 50% fee earning work each month Qualifications Essential on farm practical experience of a mixed range of enterprises The ability to communicate with and engage with both the farming community and colleagues in a confident and patient manner whilst ensuring understanding Enthusiastic and energetic with a keen eye for detail and a passion to improve standards Ability to manage conflict/difficult situations Able to manage own time, plan in work and organise to meet deadlines General IT skills NVQ Level 3 in an Agricultural related subject (advantageous but not essential) BASIS Certificate in Crop Production and FACTS Certificate (advantageous but not essential) Successful completion of a Lead Assessor course (advantageous but not essential) Level 3 HACCP (advantageous but not essential) A valid drivers license, car, and valid car insurance is required due to the travel demands of the role Most work is performed on farm across the UK & Ireland What NSF offers you: You will be a part of a global company and will have the flexibility to manage your own time, whilst being given the opportunity to travel the UK and Ireland, meeting with a variety of stakeholders in the Agricultural industry.
