Are you a band 6 Physiotherapist or band 5 looking for the next step in your career? Do you have community or respiratory experience? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our service in North East Essex. The Community Respiratory Service is an integrated team of physiotherapists, nurses & support staff who deliver pulmonary rehabilitation, COPD optimisation, respiratory virtual ward, home oxygen & respiratory physiotherapy for people out of hospital. You would be working with a team who are passionate about delivering community care to patients living with chronic respiratory conditions. Due to the nature of community work, a driving licence & access to a car are essential.
Main duties of the job
This post will primarily focus on pulmonary rehabilitation classes provided in various venues across North East Essex. You may be asked to carry out home visits for assessment/review within your scope of skills. You should have skills in engaging with people and motivational skills. You will complete assessment, care planning, education, interventions to support respiratory management & liaison with other healthcare professionals. You need to be able to work as an autonomous practitioner as on home visits & at weekends you will be a lone worker, but support is available from team & division colleagues when needed.
Currently, the service runs 9am-5pm but may require working evenings (anticipated to finish before 8pm) during the length of this contract. We roster ahead so this will be planned.

Person Specification
Experience
* Proven experience within the relevant care group
* Competencies relevant to specialism
* Experience of managing the work of others
Qualifications
* Registered physiotherapist with HCPC
* Professional knowledge and skills acquired through a combination of formal training, short courses and experience to degree level or equivalent
* Relevant post qualification training through short courses and/or further study and experience, e.g., splinting and injections
* Evidence of ongoing CPD
* Member of appropriate clinical networks
* COPD post graduate module
Knowledge
* Good theoretical and practical knowledge of a broad range of assessments relevant to the specialist care group
* Good knowledge of a range of specialist therapeutic interventions relevant to the care group.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and will require a submission for Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 a year pro rata.
