Job Description:
We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant in Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose and Throat) on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful ENT department.

The successful appointee will be joining a department, where the appointee will be expected to undertake various duties within the department. These include:
1. Professional supervision and management of junior medical staff, including observance of local employment and human resource policies and procedures.
2. Responsibilities for carrying out teaching, examination and accreditation duties as required and contributing to undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing medical education activity, locally and nationally.
3. Out-of-hours responsibilities, including participation in Consultant on-call rota.
4. Managerial responsibilities, including budgetary responsibilities where appropriate and compliance with standing orders and standing financial instructions of the Trust.
5. Various clinical duties which will be discussed at the time of the interview with the clinical lead, where the appointee will be encouraged to develop their own sub specialty.
Our client's location is based in the Midlands where they'll have access to excellent public and private schools along with reasonable house prices and excellent railway and motorway links to major cities such as Birmingham and London, with very close distance from an international airport.
