Job title: Infrastructure Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment are delighted to be supporting one of our long established clients in the London region who are looking to recruit an Infrastructure Town Planner to the team on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
1. Day-to-day management of section or project budgets including Work in progress on projects within area of responsibility.
2. Understanding the importance of financial success and taking responsibility to act in the interest of achieving it.
3. Interpreting, organising, researching, analysing, and executing major or medium scale projects.
4. Managing fee control, technical direction, and effectively liaising with senior clients.
5. Managing medium projects or several small ones with complex features.
6. Drafting and managing planning applications, pre-application enquiries, and appeals.
7. Undertaking basic planning appraisals and research.
8. Providing guidance to engineers/architects on the production of drawings and supplemental planning information in relation to planning submissions.
9. Creating and preparing fee proposals to generate new business.
10. Managing clients throughout the planning process.
11. Assisting and managing community engagement, committee meetings, and public examinations.
12. Communicating with all stakeholders involved in the planning process and negotiating positive outcomes for the client.
13. Attending occasional site visits and client meetings.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Hold an RTPI accredited degree or Masters in a related discipline.
2. Be a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute or be working towards it.
3. Have at least a year of experience working in the planning industry in either the public or private sectors.
