The role
As a Controls Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Your role will include operating, maintaining, and repairing all Building Management Services and control systems and equipment at HMNB Clyde.
Day-to-day, you’ll assist the Senior Mechanical Engineer in maximising the utilisation of all the section’s resource:
* Ensure that all tasks are carried out in accordance with the Company’s cost, time and quality requirements.
* Implementation of the Company Safety, Quality and Environmental policies in the mechanical maintenance area of the business ensuring that assessments of risks are carried out which lead to safe working attitudes and practices.
* Identify, analyse, investigate, diagnose, and generate solutions to problems for any BMS or controls issues on site.
* Produce, review and amend planned preventative maintenance documentation.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at Faslane.
Essential experience of the Controls Engineer
* Experience in a controls engineer setting.
* Knowledge and experience of Mechanical and Electrical systems and equipment.
* Knowledge of Building Management Services.
* Knowledge of Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems and equipment.
Qualifications for the Controls Engineer
* HNC in Engineering Discipline or relevant industry experience
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
