You will be required to contribute to the effective running of the Direct Payments Monitoring Team supporting and working alongside Adult Social Care and Financial Teams. Ensuring Direct Payment or Individual Service Fund accounts are spent in line with a persons care and support plan, assessed client contributions towards the budget are also being paid if applicable, ensuring underspent or over payments are calculated for recovery with accuracy following guidance and policies, raising any spend concerns appropriately to support the efficient delivery of self-directed support services. What will you be doing? Financially monitoring and reconcile Direct Payments or Individual Service Funds accounts, request� service user returns of direct payment recipients to ensure funds are used appropriately or access accounts in on-line portals for those that are paid into managed accounts or via a pre-paid card� � flagging up any concerns about the way that funds are utilised by providing managers and operational staff with accurate, relevant and timely information to support operational control. Using own judgement to decide when to refer to the funding care team or senior managers when� requiring further attention because of their complexity or spend concern. Ensure all direct payment monitoring records held in the Mosaic data base� are accurate, complete and well maintained, and information relating to direct payment monitoring is appropriately shared and stored securely in line with the Council’s and the department’s relevant policies and procedures. Provide statistical information on these matters when required. About you The successful candidate need to be be highly organised, self-motivated, have a methodical approach to tasks and prioritise workloads effectively; to have comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office packages; have the ability to understand the County Council financial processes and systems as well as a strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection. Good communication skills are essential within this role and therefore a training and induction programme will be offered with ongoing support.
