Due to continued investment, this world-renowned business is currently in the midst of a huge recruitment drive and is looking for a Project Manager - Delivery to join their growing team in Barrow (4 days a week onsite) on a 12 month contract.
The Role
Within the role of a Project Manager - Delivery, you will work in the Materials Technology Centre (MTC), part of the Specialist Engineering Technology Group (SETG). You will be predominantly working around the implementation and insertion of a technology known as Additive Manufacturing (AdM) or 3D printing. Your typical duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Facilitate and deliver the integrated AdM phased programme of work.
2. Establish the governance and reporting structure for the delivery of the AdM programme of work.
3. Ownership and responsibility for progress reporting to the appropriate stakeholders.
4. Shaping the programme of work to deliver the vision defined in the AdM strategy.
5. Working to the strategy, the role holder will be focused around the programme drum-beat, delivery, insertion of the technology, working with the stakeholders managing impact to the supply chain, submarines area and wider business. The programme manager would lead a team to assist in delivery and facilitation.
You
To succeed within the role of a Project Manager - Delivery, you'll ideally have the following skills:
1. University level education or professional qualifications gained through industry.
2. Professional PM Qualification or years of practical experience gained through the application of Project Management.
3. Experienced professional with extensive knowledge of Project Management (tools, techniques, practices).
4. Able to resolve project-related problems that do not have routine solutions, but the norm is to follow established procedures.
5. Good understanding of the business environment for own project and team.
6. Recognised as a Project Management practitioner.
