As our Technical Manager for the Uttoxeter factory, you will work closely with the Plant Manager & Functional Heads to ensure all aspects of technical standards and policy are understood, communicated and implemented. You will be a member of the Uttoxeter Leadership Team (ULT) and part of your role is to deliver the Quality Pillar requirements for the site, as part of our standardised way of working (Intersnack Work Systems).
As the Site Technical Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
1. Ensure site senior management understands and implements all technical policies and standards effectively
2. Champion the proactive management of quality and food safety risks across site change activities, including material, process, product, and personnel
3. Collaborate with all site functions to enhance product quality and consistency, driving improvements and reducing customer and consumer complaints
4. Lead the site’s quality pillar and contribute to building the site’s Integrated Work System (IWS) capability, positively impacting business goals
5. Continuously develop CAPEX plans and drive process improvements that focus on food safety, quality, and operational efficiency, fostering a culture of learning and innovation

We'd love to hear from you if you can evidence the following knowledge, skills and expertise:
15. Food Safety and Quality Management Expertise – In-depth knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP/BRC/SALSA) and the ability to manage quality assurance systems to maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and customer requirements
16. Leadership and Team Management – Strong leadership skills to manage, mentor, and develop technical and quality teams, ensuring high performance and fostering a culture of food safety across the site
17. Problem-Solving and Risk Management – Proficiency in identifying and mitigating risks related to food safety, quality, and compliance, along with problem-solving capabilities to address non-conformance or process inefficiencies
18. Collaboration and Communication Skills – Excellent communication abilities to work cross-functionally with other departments (production, supply chain, R&D) to ensure technical standards are upheld and integrated into the wider business strategy
19. Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Change Management – Experience with driving continuous improvement initiatives, such as IWS or Lean Manufacturing, to enhance processes, reduce waste, and improve product consistency and customer satisfaction
