We are looking for a Rope Access Level 3 - Electrician to join our Flying Squad Aberdeen Ad-hoc Team in Aberdeen. The main purpose of the role is to have the required experience, theoretical and technical knowledge to complete and supervise a range of rope access related inspection activities. These activities may be completed individually i.e., review or production of procedures, method statements, risk assessments, pre-job safety analysis etc. or by supervising a team of other multi-disciplined technicians using rope access techniques. The Rope Access Level 3 Technician will have additional trade certificates in the field of Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Rigging or Inspection. About this role
* A Rope Access Level 3 Technician is responsible for the planning and management of assigned tasks and maintaining a safe system of work
* Pre-work analysis to establish whether rope access methods are appropriate, risk assessments, pre-job safety analysis to identify any hazards and assess the likelihood of an incident occurring and to establish control measures to minimize the risk including rescue planning
* Contribute to the technical specification requirements for the selection and approval of rope access equipment
* Duties may also include assisting with NDT or LOLER Examinations, dimensional and functional inspection of equipment related to the Oil and Gas Industry, management of personnel and equipment, the overall safety of themselves and all others they are responsible for, overseeing other technicians to ensure inspections and reporting is completed as per company procedures
* Further duties include onsite training and assisting with on-going personnel competency. Dealing with clients, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with the company policies and procedures, complying with all Company Safety, Environmental and Quality Policies and Procedures, and reporting to the Operations Manager and all pertinent issues affecting the safe and professional operations within the company
* When not completing rope access activities it is an expectation that the Rope Access Level 3 will assist any tasks that are allocated to them by the onshore and offshore project management teams.

* It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with, and follows the Company's Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management System and takes an active part in the compliance and improvement of the Management Systems.
* The incumbent must report any accidents, incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems according to the Management System processes/procedures.
* The incumbent also has legal responsibilities under country-specific health, safety and/or environmental legislation to follow these.
* The incumbent is also responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises.
Qualifications & Experience IRATA Level III Certification required including proficiency in theoretical knowledge, equipment and rigging, manoeuvres, climbing and rescue/hauling
* Ability to work productively in adverse conditions
* Be able to demonstrate all the skills and knowledge required of levels I, II and III
* In date IRATA Log Book
* First Aid Certificate
* Relevant Trade certificates/VQ (Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Rigging or Inspection)
