What will you be doing?
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and experienced professional to join our Business Outsourcing Services (BOS) team which sits within our Assurance & Business Services (ABS) department.
The role will report directly to the Hub Lead who leads and supports the Business Outsourcing Services’ teams under their remit. This role will also require you to work closely with the Regional Managing Partner of the Cambridge office to support the marketing, business development and growth plans for the office.
The key element of this role is to grow the Cambridge office BOS portfolio of fees year-on-year, formulating and implementing a business growth strategy for the SME business offering to the external market, covering Accounts, Payroll, Company Secretarial, and related services.
As Director, your responsibilities will include among others;
* Compile and implement a Business Development and Marketing plan strategy to win work from the external market, including but not limited to forging Partnerships with entities/ bodies who could provide a pipeline of work, Hosting of Webinars & Events, External Networking & building your brand in the external market.
* Attending calls with prospective new BOS clients to win the work, capturing your BOS wins on PowerBI.
* Handle smooth handover and implementation of new clients transferring in on a timely basis, to ensure a positive client experience:
o From other Evelyn Partner teams/offices;
o From other accountants/ providers;
o New start-up companies.
This would include arranging for the preparation of quotes, engagement letters and the handling of Anti-Money Laundering procedures.
* Manage and support the Managers & Associate Directors within the BOS team to ensure they take shared responsibility for the portfolio of BOS clients, including the allocation of jobs and the monitoring of capacity issues within the team.
* Ensure the BOS team members raise all fee notes on time. Review and approve the fee notes raised by the team. Review Work-In-Progress (WIP) for BOS client engagements on a monthly/quarterly basis to assess whether billing, provisioning or fee renegotiation is required.
* Monitor the Gross Margin % on all assignments within your BOS portfolio and address any clients achieving a margin below the stipulated guidance issued by the national head of BOS.

To be successful in this role, you should;
* Accounts Qualification or key experience to be successful in the role.
* Evidence of winning work in the market and enthusiasm to grow the portfolio.
* Ability to be the client’s main point of contact.
* Experience of managing people and growing a team.
* Must have very good Microsoft Excel skills.
* Interest in technology and how this could be used to create efficiencies.
