Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in the use of hand and power tools. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. You will be expected to provide excellent customer service while working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
1. Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
2. Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as necessary for repairs.
3. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
4. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs effectively.
5. Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot vehicle issues accurately.
6. Maintain a clean and organised workspace while ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
7. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's needs and repairs.
Experience
1. Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
2. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform heavy lifting as required.
3. Familiarity with automotive repair equipment and tools is essential.
4. Previous experience in customer service is advantageous, enabling effective communication with clients.
5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
