***Underwriter (Mandatory- FRENCH SPEAKING) ***
Robert Half is assisting a Travel Insurance company to recruit a FRENCH Speaking Underwriter to join the team.
Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Underwriter to join our growing travel insurance team. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for assessing, evaluating, and managing risks associated with travel insurance policies. You will work closely with brokers, agents, and other stakeholders to ensure that policies are issued in line with company guidelines and regulatory standards, while providing exceptional service to customers.
Responsibilities:
* Risk Assessment: Evaluate and assess travel insurance applications, determining the risk profile of individual applicants based on their health, travel history, and other relevant factors.
* Policy Evaluation: Review and analyse insurance applications to ensure they meet underwriting guidelines. Make informed decisions regarding policy approvals, adjustments, or rejections.
* Customer Interaction: Communicate directly with brokers, clients, and agents to gather additional information or clarify details regarding applications, policies, or claims.
* Premium Calculation: Determine appropriate premiums based on the risk assessment, ensuring they are aligned with company guidelines and market conditions.
* Claims Review: Assist in the evaluation and processing of claims, ensuring that claims are legitimate, complete, and comply with policy terms and conditions.
* Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions, policy changes, and communications. Generate regular reports on underwriting activity and risk exposure.
* Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure that all underwriting activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and legal requirements. Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations affecting travel insurance.
* Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including underwriter assistants, claims teams, and customer service, to ensure a seamless process and high-quality customer service.
* Market Analysis: Stay informed about trends in the travel insurance market, including emerging risks, competitor products, and new travel destinations that may impact underwriting strategies.
Requirements:
* Language: MUST HAVE Native French speaker and English
* Education: A degree or diploma in insurance, business, or a related field is an advantage.
* Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in underwriting, with a focus on travel or personal lines insurance. Experience in other lines of insurance may also be considered.
* Skills:
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
