WHAT YOU’LL DO: The Systems & Data Analyst will be responsible for end to end HR systems and data management. Including new systems, requirements capture, analysis, design and implementation and optimisation of current HR systems. Reporting, analysis and interpretation of data, identifying trends to inform and support key decision making and leading data quality improvements. A high level of data analytics as well as technical strength to work with multiple data sources will be required to succeed in this position, ideally with experience in an HR function. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Working with HR colleagues and stakeholders to translate business requirements into detailed system requirement documents and/or user stories that will either be used by our in-house software development team or by 3rd party organisations working on our behalf System upgrades, implementations and ongoing development Design, document and configure HR system workflows and efficient HR system processes Make recommendations for system and data improvements based on industry trends and professional business knowledge Creation of KPI dashboard for HR department and stakeholders Analysis, design and implementation of new systems ensuring functionality or performance is not lost and new requirements are met Enhance the automated connectivity and integrations between Peninsula’s in house systems to reduce manual process Working with Operational Risk to ensure that existing business processes are maintained and any risks are reduced Development of data flow diagrams and business process diagrams (current and future state) Document problems / requirements and proposed solutions as part of a functional specification in line with company standards Support continuous improvement initiatives across all HR data and systems, including design, configuration, testing and implementation. Perform analytical testing and investigative work, assisting with the resolution of application support and maintenance issues where relevant Produce technical documentation (Requirements Specification, Test Plan, Process Mapping and Data Flows) Create and maintain user manuals, guides and other communication documentation for internal stakeholders/vendors Manage system access permissions access ensuring sufficient segregation of duties Improve training and operational procedures within business to increase efficiency and productivity Identify data and reporting issues through analysing raw data and reports, identifying trends, gaps and inconsistencies. Working with wider HR team to correct the data and identify root cause of the issues and how these can be mitigated in future Developing regular reporting and data packs for HR and executive team members to support business decision making Lead on data compliance ensuring data legislation guidelines are met, such as GDPR retention rules KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Strong experience of HR systems, data and reporting; ideally understanding global challenges and solutions Highly developed end to end project management skills Advanced Power BI, Excel and Pivot Table skills Excellent analytical skills and very high attention to detail Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills with high levels of attention to detail Knowledge of system integration and the analysis needed to implement them Good understanding of the principles of information security and segregation of duties Actively share knowledge with the team and become an expert on data and processes, Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative in a constructive manner Flexible, self-motivated and proactive Excellent time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects at once, using strong time management skills and prioritisation Ability to recommend practical ways using innovation, good judgement, creativity and strategic thinking Excellent oral and written communication skills External vendor management and selection skills Negotiation, difficult conversation management and prioritisation skills
