Job Overview

Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Driving HGV 15 – 18 tonne company liveried vehicles in a secure & controlled environment
* Carrying out vehicle checks prior to use
* Loading and unloading catering uplifts to aircraft
* Liaison with flight crew and working in collaboration with other ground handling suppliers
* Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicle
* Adhering to all Road Traffic Acts and additional Airport By-laws
* Additional duties such as Bar and stores packing or search and sealing will be a daily requirement along with any associated paperwork.
* Plus any additional warehouse duties
Requirements of the HGV Driver:
* Valid clean HGV CAT C Driving Licence (up to 3 points will be considered)
* Digital Tachograph knowledge and possession of a digital tachograph card
* Driver CPC qualification essential
* Previous HGV experience desirable, Airport Airside Driving would be an advantage
* Knowledge of the Road Traffic Act
Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable but not essential. You must be able to work shifts and be keen to learn. In addition to job-related training, you will develop your skills in teamwork, time management, multi-tasking, communication, and attention to detail.
All applicants must have the right to work in the UK, undertake a CRC (Criminal Record Check), and provide 5 years of checkable referencing history. For any time spent outside the UK exceeding 6 months, you must be able to provide a CRC (Criminal Record Check) for that country.
