You will take on a leadership role in the sensor systems team, contributing to the successful execution of sensor-related work packages within a critical program.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead Work Package Delivery: Oversee and deliver work packages across the sensor systems program, ensuring adherence to time and cost requirements.
2. Team Management: Manage a team of 7 engineers, with plans for team expansion.
3. Product Design Leadership: Drive the design and development of new sensor products to meet program demands.
4. Problem Resolution: Lead efforts in rectifying build and commissioning sensor equipment defects, addressing technical queries, with occasional on-site involvement.
5. Documentation Management: Oversee the production of build and commissioning documentation.
6. Safety and Integrity Evaluation: Assess the safety and operational integrity of sensor products.
7. Safety Case Documentation: Lead the creation of safety case design documents to ensure safe plant operation.
8. Governance and Process Adherence: Ensure appropriate governance and process compliance in all design-led activities.
9. Scrum Master Role: Manage daily team activities, aligning with the broader project plan using SCRUM methodologies.
Who We Are Looking For:
1. Proven leadership experience with the ability to guide and grow a technical team.
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence and collaborate effectively.
3. Experience in program management with a track record of overseeing complex projects.
4. Electro-mechanical design expertise, particularly in New Product Introduction (NPI).
5. Understanding of lifecycle engineering for product development.
6. Qualifications and experience in electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
7. Knowledge of sensor systems and high-integrity systems is highly desirable.
8. A background in product development with an emphasis on safety and operational integrity.
