As part of the Executive Director’s team, you will have strategic responsibility for Roads and Infrastructure, delivering vital services that affect every resident and business in Argyll and Bute. The Council has an ambitious programme of developments to deliver and you will influence how this is done using your knowledge, management skills and great communication.

In this role you will be responsible for:
* Network and Standards – traffic management (Traffic Orders, traffic development and parking wardens), major works planning, annual works programme planning, lighting, school crossing patrols, commercial waste.
* Marine Services – piers and harbours, ferries
* Amenity Services – waste collection, street sweeping, ground maintenance, cemeteries and crematorium, road maintenance, environmental wardens etc.
* Fleet, public and school transport, waste management and recycling
* Infrastructure and Design – engineering design, bridge and watercourse inspection
