As a Financial Accounting & Reporting (FA&R) Team Member you will be responsible for the successful delivery of period end financial statements, some statutory reporting and external reporting to government agencies. Principally responsible for the maintenance and recording of transactions within the General Ledger and ensuring it is accurately reported in our consolidation tool, processing and reconciling items, managing the inter-company exercise and calculation of FX revaluations.

What you will be doing:
* Independently deliver financial reporting for the assigned sectors / businesses in actuals and external reporting processes to tight timescales, including general ledger processing, reporting and reconciliation activities.
* Ensuring internal control and compliance requirements are satisfied.
* Dealing with external auditor requests.
* Involvement in continuous improvement activities and project-based work.
* Keep abreast of new international accounting standards and changes to systems and processes.

For this role you will need to demonstrate understanding of the appliable health and safety standards and we are looking for someone who is/has:
* Finance background, ability to understand and explain basic accounting principles/double entry bookkeeping (Part qualified or qualified accountant is desirable but not essential).
* Prior financial reporting experience or audit experience would be beneficial.
* Good Microsoft excel skills (Working knowledge of HFM / Hyperion software is beneficial).
* Attention to detail and Problem solving skills.
* Customer focus.
* Process improvement / systems mind-set.
