Healthcare Clinic Assistant / Administrator
We have an opportunity for a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant / Administrator to join our Diabetes Multidisciplinary Specialist Team based at the King Edward VII Hospital in Windsor.
The post holder will play a key part in supporting the diabetes outpatient clinics in this joint clinical and administrative role.
The post holder will assist in providing a comprehensive bookings management service for the diabetes service across Berkshire. They will be the first point of contact with patients, carers, GPs, acute trust personnel, and external agencies regarding appointment bookings. Responsibilities include uploading referrals, clinic preparation, photocopying, printing, booking appointments, and data inputting for diabetes-specific audits as required.
You will assist in developing and maintaining services provided to service users and contribute to the safe, efficient, and smooth running of the department, including the provision of face-to-face Consultant Led Outpatient clinics. You will assist the clinical team in the assessment and monitoring of service users by accurately recording and reporting.
Phlebotomy skills would be desirable.
We are looking for someone enthusiastic, with a warm personality and great people skills. You will need to be adaptable to change and able to influence new ways of working. Both full-time and part-time working can be offered.
