About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join our team on a full-time basis. You will be responsible for processing payroll via a managed payroll service (Moorepay) and administering our employee benefits programs. Your primary focus will be on accurately and efficiently processing payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and administering employee benefits programs. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the HR Team and will also be required to support the team with ad hoc HR administrative duties and projects.
This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of payroll processes. Vesta operates in a casual working environment and promotes both team and individual growth. The role is based in Wallingford, but Vesta operates across multiple geographical locations and therefore the role may require some travel to UK sites.

Key Duties:
1. Process end-to-end payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
2. Maintain payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and deductions in both Workday and Moorepay systems.
3. Manage and update payroll-related taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
4. Stay updated with payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements to ensure accurate payroll processing.
5. Administer employee benefits programs, including private health insurance, pension plans, and other benefit initiatives.
6. Communicate with employees regarding payroll-related inquiries, benefits enrolment, and changes.
7. Collaborate with the HR team to ensure accurate employee data in payroll and benefits systems.
8. Assist in the preparation and submission of statutory reports and filings related to payroll and employee benefits.
9. Support the implementation and integration of payroll and Benefits systems or software.
10. Collaborate with external vendors, such as benefits providers and payroll service providers, to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
11. Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies in handling sensitive employee information.
12. Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in payroll and Benefits management.
13. Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed.
Job Qualifications:
14. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, accounting, finance, or a related field
15. Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator, Compensation & Benefits Administrator, or similar role
16. In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
17. Proficiency in using payroll software or systems for end-to-end payroll processing
18. Familiarity with Benefits management principles and employee benefits programs
19. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll and administering Benefits
20. Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple payroll cycles and deadlines
21. Knowledge of relevant employment laws, regulations, and data protection requirements
22. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
23. Proficient in using MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting
24. Experience with HRIS systems and payroll software, such as Moorepay and Workday is advantageous
25. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve payroll-related issues
26. Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with changes in payroll and Benefits management practices.
