What you'll do: Assist the deputy and security manager to sure that any complaints are reported and managed in a prompt, professional manner. to give the campuses of the University of Greenwich a security service that is customer-focused. To comply with Company, client and statutory regulations relating to Health and Safety, fire hygiene, COSHH and safe systems of work. To liaise with Sodexo and Client personnel as required and directed to guarantee the delivery of an effective and efficient service. Provide a first point of call for visitors and contractors to the site. Issue visitor/contractor badges whilst maintaining a record of those who enter and leave the main buildings. Answer questions, report incidents, and handle emergencies with employees, students, visitors, and contractors Open and secure the premises including the enabling and disabling of security alarms as detailed in the Assignment Instructions Patrolling, securing, and monitoring premises for any signs of unlawful/unwanted activity Monitor CCTV screens and take appropriate action as required What you bring: SIA Licence holder (Door supervisor and CCTV) 3 - 5 years experience within the security industry and as a supervisor Have a sound knowledge of the Quality Management Systems (Security) Able to use computerised systems in operation within the security sector Good understanding of the CCTV, fire and security systems Ability to work under pressure Excellent communication skills.
