Our defence sector client is currently recruiting SC cleared Aeronautical & Aerospace Engineers for initial 6-month contracts. The contracts offer a hybrid working arrangement of 2-3 days onsite in Bristol and the remainder working from home.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Development, maintenance, and delivery of the Engineering Management Plan, interacting with other functions to ensure coherent planning.
* Delivery of engineering products/services as set out in the Engineering Management Plan (EMP), including managing the acquisition safety aspects.
* Operational direction and delivery of engineering activity in the area of responsibility as defined in the assignment specification or objectives.
* Provide technical leadership related to your specialist area to solve complex problems with innovative solutions to support improved performance and enhance capability.
* Interface with industry as the intelligent customer on projects and help understand technical risks.
* Provide governance, assurance, and advice on complex projects and portfolios in your area of expertise to guide and influence senior leaders, scientists, and decision makers.
* Likely to hold Safety Responsibilities (SSR or SR).
EXPERIENCE
* Chartered or Incorporated Engineer.
* Member of a relevant Professional Engineering/Science Institute or equivalent body.
* Relevant Level 6 (or higher) qualification or equivalent experience.
* Experience of providing technical advice at a senior level and leading the delivery of successful engineering outcomes in multidisciplinary projects.
* Wide-ranging depth and breadth of technical experience in your specialism with knowledge and application of Systems Engineering approaches.
