ENGINEERING MANAGER

Working Hours: Mon-Friday: 9am-5pm

Job Description:
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team of five. The role will report directly to the Head of Operations.
The role will predominantly focus on the leadership and development of the engineering team, as well as a strong focus on continuous improvement activities on site. This will include process improvements and cost efficiencies.
It’s an exciting time to join the business as we are growing and making changes to the site, which will include new lines and projects.
* To maintain and supervise the Engineering team, including carrying out regular One-to-Ones and PDRs in line with local and group policy.
* To implement, monitor, and control a Pre-Planned Maintenance program suitable for customer and certification level audits.
* Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
* Control the engineering budget spend, working closely with both the Head of Operations and the accounts department.
* Work closely with the Production and Planning teams to ensure the required levels of reliability and efficiency from the plant are maintained.
The Person:
* Experienced in a similar manufacturing environment, preferably food or FMCG.
* Proven leadership experience.
* Ability to come to the table with “solutions not problems.”
* Skills: I.T., Problem Solving, and Communication.
