Role Overview: As a Health and Safety Advisor / Health and Safety Manager this is an exciting opportunity to take a leadership role in embedding safe practices and driving continuous improvement across multiple UK wide installation sites. You will be instrumental in shaping a strong safety culture, coaching site teams, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. The ability to drive, and travel to UK-wide sites, sometimes for multiple days, is a must. Key Responsibilities: Develop robust safety frameworks, ensuring all activities meet legal and industry standards. Visit sites regularly to assess risks, evaluate conditions, and propose practical improvement solutions. Provide engaging and informative training sessions to ensure teams are confident in safety protocols and emergency responses. Analyse incidents to identify root causes and implement actionable measures to prevent recurrence. Support site teams in aligning with regulations related to installation activities, including safe scaffolding use and temporary works. Strengthen relationships with teams and contractors, ensuring collaborative efforts to maintain high safety standards. Regularly report safety performance to senior leaders and propose strategies for ongoing enhancement. What they’re Looking For: Recognized health and safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH or IOSH), with significant experience in manufacturing/engineering / Infrastructure sectors. A deep understanding of legislation and standards affecting complex construction environments. Knowledge of CDM Proven ability to inspire and lead teams in adopting safe working practices. Experience in industries involving heavy equipment, large-scale projects, or high-risk environments. – Lifting, rigging, craning, heavy installations Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on practical implementation. Effective communication skills and proficiency in using technology to support your role. Flexibility to travel to diverse locations and a valid UK driving license.
