Job Summary

You’ll be helping us deliver operational excellence across our Civil, Defence, and Engines business lines at our East Cowes manufacturing plants. Established in 1901, our East Cowes site on the Isle of Wight employs around 800 people. We design, manufacture, test, and repair high-performance structures and systems for the aerospace market, serving clients like Airbus, Boeing, Rolls Royce, and others.
Due to growth, we are seeking experienced Manufacturing Engineers specializing in Product and Planning to join our team. Based at East Cowes and reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer Manager, you will support both Civil and Defence lines, providing engineering expertise to enable zero defect projects and robust manufacturing processes. Flexibility for limited travel, both nationally and internationally, is required. We offer relocation support within the UK to successful candidates.
Job Responsibilities
* Ensure safety-first mindset and compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
* Develop manufacturing process solutions to complex problems.
* Implement production planning from concept to production, using Zero Defect Manufacturing tools.
* Manage product development, first article, configuration changes, and process implementation.
* Provide technical solutions to complex problems involving customers and suppliers.
* Support manufacturing process development and integration.
* Use root cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce non-conformances.
* Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Continuously improve processes through Lean initiatives.
* Apply APQP tools for problem solving.
Qualifications & Skills
* HNC or higher in Engineering or related field.
* Experience in Manufacturing Engineering within composites manufacturing.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of quality systems like ISO9000, AS9100.
* Experience in aerospace industry and project management.
* Familiarity with APQP and ERP systems.
* Green Belt certification.
This role requires UK National Security Vetting (UKNSV) Security clearance, with residency in the UK for at least 5 years.
