Job Overview: Position : Behaviour Teaching Assistant Location : Croydon, SEMH school Start Date : September 2024 Salary : Competitive daily rate (not specified) Contract Type : Full-time (Monday to Friday) Key Responsibilities - Behaviour mentor - Croydon Support students with challenging behaviours and special educational needs (SEN), including those with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, ADHD, or Asperger's Syndrome. Provide one-to-one or small group support to assist students in their academic studies and manage their behaviour. Use proactive behaviour management strategies to address challenging situations and conflicts that may arise. Assist students in maintaining focus and engagement in their academic work while also addressing any behavioural challenges they face. Ideal Candidate - Behaviour Mentor - Croydon Experience : Experience working with young people with challenging behaviour and/or special educational needs. Skills : Strong behaviour management skills, proactive, hardworking, and passionate about working with young people. DBS : Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain one). Qualifications : Experience working in a school or similar setting, Team Teach qualification is desirable. Location : Must be able to commute to Croydon.
