In summary; Working as nurse in charge, delegating tasks, planning the daily nursing board to ensure safe running of the ward. Working in safer staffing numbers Facilitate 1 to 1 sessions and build a rapport with our service users Co-producing Positive Behavioural Support plans with service users and other professionals. There is a requirement to complete a diploma in Positive Behavioural Support, if the post holder does not currently hold this qualification. Working as a key nurse, completing relevant documentation and risk reduction work. Involvement in both staff meetings and workers meetings Working closely with the wider MDT such as: occupational therapist, psychology and social work. Supervising registered nurses and healthcare support workers on the ward. Take initiative on creating and implementing ideas to improve quality of care and improving both staff and service users experience. Working towards the model of least restrictive practice. Keeping up to date on mandatory and essential training. Completing supportive and therapeutic observations. Although not an operational post, the post holder must have an awareness of operational procedures, support colleagues and challenge any issues or concerns that may arise.
