Through our Coaching for Business programmes, we give aspiring food business owners the tools, skills, and confidence to kickstart their very own food businesses – and we’re looking for a Business Coach to join our mission and help us take this impact even further. Reporting to the Head of Coaching, as a Business Coach, they’ll play a pivotal role in the Engaging and Coaching stages of the KERB Ecosystem. This is where dreams start bubbling Referrals into our coaching programmes are achieved nationwide by partnering with a network of community-based impact partners working in areas of need across: Youth unemployment Through the Gate services (People with Convictions) Homelessness, and Refugee support As a Business Coach they’ll be involved in all aspects of generating and processing referrals for the coaching for business programmes, assessing candidates for suitability and working closely with the wider KERB team, partners and membership base to run engagement and coaching sessions and workshops, as well as assisting individuals, once engaged, in accessing self-guided online course content, setting goals, monitoring progress and providing space for reflection as they progress all the way through to business registration and the first stages of trading. Our online food business development course, KERB Classroom, is a specially tailored self-guided programme, which is free to access for those referred to us by our social impact partners into the Streets Ahead project. As a Business Coach at KERB, they’ll need to be someone that loves brilliant food and exceptional hospitality as much as they love empowering people from varied and difficult backgrounds. They will also embrace the complexity of developing our Coaching for Business programmes into new venues and across our network of hospitality partners, as well as designing content and organising engagement events to make sure our wonderful Coaching for Business programme remains market relevant and reaches as far as possible across the UK. Responsibilities Developing and delivering a programme of learning and development for participants that includes a blend of online and face-to-face workshops. Developing partnerships and engaging with community and hospitality partners and learning institutions to ensure that all participants have access to the appropriate level of assistance and wraparound support required. Ensuring that the main focus of all of the coaching programmes is to empower and enable those who need it most to progress into employment or entrepreneurship in the hospitality industry. Assisting with the curation of a curriculum for learning at the coaching stage of the development pathway to ensure that KERB Classroom has a structured, business-focused approach that results in genuine trading opportunities, underpinned by the values and culture of KERB. Assisting with managing the coaching budget and reporting progress against all budget requirements. Monitoring and presenting regular reports on progress, including detailed case studies of success stories of individuals enabled to move into employment and/or entrepreneurship. Developing training interventions with existing KERB staff and members to equip them with the skills and knowledge to better guide and coach participants who may be working with them. Contributing towards funding and sponsorship projects to ensure that key criteria are met from an educational perspective. Working with the KERB team to achieve accreditation for all educational and coaching content that facilitates charity referrals into entrepreneurship across the KERB ecosystem.
