We have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised School Office Admin Officer with experience of working within a similar position. Caldicot School is an 11-18 co-educational comprehensive serving the local and wider community. The school has over 1300 students and is situated between Chepstow and Newport, with easy access via the M4 corridor and on the northern side of the Severn Estuary.

About the role The role will involve providing support to students and staff across the school by answering calls and e-mails, and greeting students and visitors upon arrival to the school. The role will work predominantly with SIMS - inputting student data, communicating with parents/carers, completing registers and uploading documentation. An understanding of the functions and use of SIMS would be highly advantageous for this position.You should be first aid trained, or willing to undertake this qualification once in post, to be able to manage the access to the school's medical room and provision. This includes all elements of paperwork and documentation relating to student health plans, allergies, medication and conditions. This is a vitally important aspect of the role. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues, students and stakeholders both internally and externally.Experience of working within a school or education environment is preferred but there will be a strong induction programme to ensure the appointed candidate can make an immediate impact.Closing date for applications: 30th January 2025 at 12:00.
