Your closest hub will be your base. Due to the nature of the role a driver licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role, mileage is paid at 45p per mile for cars after your home to work base mileage is deducted. What is NHS Norfolk and Waveney Talking Therapies NHS Norfolk and Waveney Talking Therapies provide a range of support for people with common mental health and emotional issues, such as low mood, depression or stress. We work with service users to help you make the necessary changes to improve the wellbeing and quality of life. Our services are free and are available to people aged 16 and over living in Norfolk & Waveney. The Role: We are seeking a passionate individual to promote NHS Norfolk and Waveney Talking Therapies within the community. You will develop and coordinate a diverse range of networking, training, and awareness initiatives aimed at fostering service integration and community connection. This role plays a key part in reducing the stigma surrounding mental illness and improving access to our services. This is an exciting opportunity to join Mind and collaborate with the Norfolk & Suffolk Mental Health Foundation Trust in delivering impactful services under NHS Norfolk and Waveney Talking Therapies. Our mission is to assist individuals over 16 dealing with mild to moderate mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. Key Responsibilities: Deliver Champion Training within the community. Lead and facilitate social groups, both in-person and online. Create and execute a program of social events that address local needs and encourage community connections. Collaborate with local organizations, healthcare services, businesses, educational institutions, and communities to promote our services and provide mental health training. Enhance access to NHS Norfolk and Waveney Talking Therapies by engaging with underserved communities. Share best practices with fellow community development coordinators. Maintain databases for contacts, attendance, and events. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our services to ensure the best outcomes for clients. Represent NHS Norfolk and Waveney Talking Therapies at various events in a professional manner. Participate in personal development planning and appraisals as required by Norfolk and Waveney Mind. Engage actively in addressing strategic and operational challenges faced by NHS Norfolk and Waveney Talking Therapies and Norfolk and Waveney Mind. Adhere to the policies of Norfolk and Waveney Mind and those related to NHS Norfolk and Waveney Talking Therapies. What We’re Looking For: Confidence in delivering training and presentations. Self-motivated, punctual, and innovative, with the ability to manage your own schedule. Background in event or activity organisation is desirable but not essential. Proficient in PC usage and social media. Knowledge of wellbeing services and mental health pathways. Comfortable networking with community members and organisations, with a willingness to develop public speaking skills. Understanding of mental health conditions. Desirable skills (not mandatory) include project management and experience in health or social care settings, particularly in primary mental health services. A valid driving license and access to your own transport are essential.
