Washbrook ward is a diverse 27 bedded ward that provides care for medical patients with a wide variety of medical conditions. Patients on this ward tend to have a predicted length of stay of under seven days.
Within this role you will have the opportunity to have a positive impact on the standard of care that our patients receive. In addition to this you will help to develop and influence the careers of others within the team. You will possess excellent communication skills, show patience and understanding, and be able to demonstrate recent professional development.

Main duties of the job
To be responsible, with the guidance of the Ward Sister for providing leadership and teaching within the Unit environment.
To support the Ward Sister in the general management of the ward, such as completion of appraisals, 1-1s and other management tasks.
Through knowledge, good example and education, enable unit staff to deliver high quality, individualised care.
To provide support and supervision of nursing staff, and effectively coordinate and deploy resources within the ward.
To assist in the provision of the Cardiac Monitoring Service across the wider hospital, through the monitoring of telemetry.
