We have an opportunity for a Mobile Fabric Engineer to join our technical team in Scotland. The successful candidate will ensure optimal environmental conditions for critical building systems and perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), as well as reactive and breakdown maintenance and reactive repairs to a portfolio of commercial, industrial and retail properties throughout our various sites throughout Scotland, with regular travel around the area. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Travel to various sites across the advertised locations (Full UK driving license required). Complete reactive maintenance tasks and proactively identify areas for improvement, including fabric-related items. Complete all relevant paperwork for PPM, reactive, and breakdown works promptly, and submit it to the contract administrator. Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments to ensure safe working practices. Foster positive working relationships with VSG staff, subcontractors, and client representatives. Maintain a Safe and Healthy working environment, including wearing uniform and PPE at all times. Present a professional image of Virtual Services Group. Keep up-to-date shift logs and ensure plant rooms are locked and maintained in a clean and tidy condition. Supervise and monitor subcontractor work on site. Provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible with working patterns. Undertake lone working as required, subject to satisfactory training. Ensure completion of assigned tasks with appropriate Health & Safety awareness and compliance. Maintain awareness and compliance with contractual KPIs and SLAs. Keep the Computer-Based Maintenance system up to date, closing out PPM and reactive tickets with accurate data. Operate a Permit to Work System in line with VSG Quality, Health & Safety procedures, and client requirements. Provide holiday and emergency cover as required at sites not typically covered. Perform any other tasks as directed by the account management team. The Skills Needed to Be a Success Dedicated to excellent customer service. Calm and capable of working under pressure. Strong decision-making skills. Be able to carry tools and components up to 20kg, ascend/descend vertical access equipment, and work at heights. Working at height training (ladders/step ladders) Clean Driving License Familiar with CAFM system. Strong Interpersonal Skills and a Team Player. Broad knowledge of building works, diagnostic and repair procedures.
