Description As a Carrier Performance Specialist (CPX), you will drive the performance of our third party carrier fleet, to keep Amazon Customer eXperience to industry benchmark standards and our transportation business more energy and cost efficient. You will develop plans that improve carrier delivery KPIs, and liaise with them to ensure that these are agreed and executed. You will also assess the readiness of the carriers to deliver increased capacity during peak periods and work with them to ensure that their delivery levels do not falter. You will work with multiple stakeholders across and outside of Amazon Transportation Services, from Operational teams who are fulfilling customer orders to Retail teams and our third party Carriers. Key job responsibilities - Analyse and interpret data to improve performance metrics across transportation execution - Investigate the root cause of performance failures and align corrective actions with the transportation partners - Collect best practices and quality standards across the industry, utilize them to educate partners - Design effective performance management processes, formalize them in Standard Operating Procedures and continuously improve them - Influence business decisions based on the performance results for each carrier - Partner with teams to advise on and manage operational challenges - Support the planning and organisation of complex projects A day in the life Being a Carrier Performance Specialist for Amazon involves lots of problem solving. You'll work with a number of teams to navigate challenges as and when situations impact our network. You'll spend time resolving temporary issues and looking at the bigger picture to drive Amazon towards achieving new objectives. This role is both proactive and reactive, and you'll have the opportunity to help defining and applying quality standards and plan for new projects. As a Carrier Operations Specialist, you'll need to help with both on-the-ground tasks and more tactical work. No two days will be the same. You could spend one day helping to investigate why a customer order did not arrive on time to destination and the next coaching and educating the transportation partner to our standards and industrial best practices.
