Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Marketing Coordinator to join our team and help drive our marketing efforts within the Marketing Department. The Junior Marketing Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the Marketing Department by coordinating and implementing various marketing activities. This role requires a proactive and organized individual who can manage multiple tasks, communicate effectively, and contribute to the overall success of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
1. Provide administrative support to the Marketing Department, including scheduling meetings, maintaining marketing calendars and databases, and organizing files.
2. Maintain promoter and venue websites including but not limited to: APEConcerts.com, CastroTheatre.com, Channel24Sac.com, TheFoxOakland.com, TheGreekBerkeley.com, BillGrahamCivic.com, TheIndependentSF.com General web maintenance as well as event-specific listing maintenance
3. Build email blasts sent via the various APE-managed email databases Familiarity with HTML and/or IBM Watson/Acoustic strongly encouraged
4. Manage Advertising Accounts Payable Process advertising invoices and paymentsTrack all advertising payments per show in advertising plansServe as direct billing contact with vendors
5. Assist in show and venue marketing Assist in maintenance of advertising plans per showAssist in creation of advertising packs/closeouts for presentation to artist teamsAssist in management of promo ticket winner grids for all showsAssist in tracking artist channels (websites/social pages) for correct event infoMaintain reporting of various metrics across marketing channels
6. Assist in social media maintenance Maintain all Facebook events per venueAssist in the facilitation of social media strategy and editorial calendars per channel, including copywriting and postingAssist in the facilitation of engagement with followers/patrons via social media channelsAssist in the research of social media content strategies
7. Upload and organize house photography albums
8. Assist in media escorting at select APE concert venues as needed
9. Customer service support on phone systems
Qualifications:
10. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
11. Basic understanding of marketing principles and digital marketing tools.
12. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
13. Excellent organizational, research, and project management skills.
14. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
15. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
16. Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems.
17. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Preferred Qualifications:
18. 0-1 years of experience in a marketing role or internship.
19. Experience with the following software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, HTML and/or IBM Watson/Acoustic, Dropbox, Airtable, Bill.com, Meta Ads Manager, ToneDen, and the music industry.
20. Basic knowledge of SEO and SEM practices.

Compensation & Benefits Package:
SALARY: $50,000 – $55,000 (NON EXEMPT) – commensurate with experience
