Job summary We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, motivated nurse leader to join our Band 7 team in the Emergency Department. This will be a permanent position to covering 24/7 Emergency Nursing Care. You will be responsible for the delivery of clinical leadership, support, teaching and decision making for the patients journey from arrival to discharge in the Emergency Department. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Main duties of the job An opportunity has arisen to offer a position as a Band 7 Sister/Charge Nurse within the Urgent Care Directorate, for the Emergency Department at Grange University Hospital. We are looking for a proactive and supportive team member with proven leadership and decision-making skills. The Emergency Department is an area of challenge that requires resilience to ensure that Emergency care we provide is patient centred, safe, effective and efficient. You will work as part of the Multidisciplinary Team on the Unit and actively be involved in providing a high standard of quality care. You will also be expected to demonstrate a high level of emergency nursing assessment and clinical skills by supporting the nursing team in providing quality care to their patients. In addition you will be required to provide support and advice to patients and their families/carers. You will be expected to facilitate safe, effective and timely discharges of patients.
