Are you a Supply Chain Planner or Assistant Supply Chain planner looking to work with innovative products and develop your career? Think Spiderman, Nerf, Spongebob, Grinch, Peppa Pig bathing gift sets to name a few, supplying to the big UK retail stores (Asda, Tesco etc). You will be liaising with sales and marketing on new and changing customer ranges and placing orders with suppliers and managing inventory throughout the supply chain.
This really is a role that will provide you with a breadth of experience across all of the supply chain, whilst working with one other Supply Chain Planner and reporting to a friendly and supportive Supply Chain Manager.
As the Supply Chain Planner you will be responsible for:
* Working closely with the marketing team on new ranges to ensure timely deliveries to customers
* Raising purchase orders, checking costs and placing orders
* Collaborating with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely delivery
* Maintaining associated master data and planning data in the MRP system (Sage) and using Access databases.
* Responding and noting important shipping information via email from international suppliers
* Processing receipts to ensure invoices get paid as well as well as collating supporting documentation (product specs etc)
* Ensuring that products are delivered on time and ensuring timely communication with internal teams, customers and third parties
* Raising product delivery issues to the Supply Chain Manager
To be successful in this Supply Chain Planner role you will need to have the following:
* Solid experience of working in a product supply chain
* Good organisational and planning skills
* A team player mentality; willing to get involved and ask questions
* Excellent attention to detail - to ensure the right orders are delivered on time
* Good organisational skills – as you juggle multiple customers and other third parties
* The desire to work in a changing business
* Experience of working with databases e.g. Access or similar
* Clear and confident communication skills
* Ability to stay focused and work well under pressure in busy periods
* Comfortable working within a team of 4 and supporting each other where necessary.
