Element formally Crawford Scientific has an opportunity for an Internal Business Development Manager covering the Scotland and Northern Ireland region, working at home and within our Head Office in Strathaven. Element are the UK’s premier supplier of chromatography products, training and technical services. The new Internal Account Manager will work alongside a Field Business Development Manager and their Regional Sales Manager, you are responsible for managing your accounts, expanding product lines within the existing customers and bring on-board new customers. Complies with all regulatory and company requirements in relation to Quality, Health and Safety as is appropriate to the role. Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and new customers to generate sales for the organization’s products and services. Makes telephone calls and uses email communication with existing and prospective customers. Performs field visits with customers once a quarter and attends exhibitions and other customer facing events. Prospects for new customers and researches for information to determine their potential. Closes own sales as well as those generated by other members of the Sales, Technical BD and Technical Teams Produces clear and effectively written email communications, sales proposals & quotations. Coordinates sales activity with the Marketing Team, Regional Sales Manager, Sales Director, Technical Business Development Specialists and Technical Support Team to deliver additional sales focus for key product lines Provides the Management Team with weekly feedback on commercial activities, customer feedback and industry updates Chromatography background to BSc degree level, or experience in a chromatography Lab or experience in the chromatography market-place Sales experience or aptitude for a sales role LI-JD2 Element is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
