The Switch is a charity dedicated to creating meaningful connections between schools and businesses, helping young people develop the skills, confidence, and networks they need for future success. As our new Chief Executive Officer, you will lead the organisation into its next chapter, building on our strong foundations and driving forward our mission.
About the Role
1. Provide strategic leadership and direction to the charity, ensuring we deliver on our mission and objectives.
2. Manage and inspire a dedicated team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with schools, businesses, funders, and key stakeholders, ensuring effective partnerships that enhance our impact.
4. Oversee financial management and governance, ensuring long-term sustainability and compliance.
5. Act as the public face of the charity, confidently engaging with a range of audiences, including business leaders, educators, policymakers, and young people.
6. Champion safeguarding and child protection, ensuring the highest standards across all our work.
About You
1. At least five years of senior-level experience in the charity, voluntary, or public sector or equivalent experience as a trustee in a leadership capacity.
2. Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage and develop teams.
3. Experience in partnership working and collaboration to drive forward the relationships with corporate partners and schools.
4. A good understanding of financial management and budgeting.
5. An understanding of fundraising with the ability and knowledge to lead on bid writing and on negotiations with corporate partners.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in presenting to a range of audiences.
