Full Time Teacher of Physical Education MPS/UPS
Temporary contract – January 2025 to August 2025
We are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher of PE for the Spring and Summer term of 2025 to teach core PE across KS3 and KS4. This is an opportunity to join an experienced team with a range of excellent facilities, including a fitness suite. There is an opportunity to teach exam groups in KS4 and 5 if appropriate.
All KS3 students have 4 lessons of PE across a 2 week timetable, with a focus on promoting Physical and Mental health and well-being. The PE team offer a range of extra-curricular activities and the successful candidate would be a crucial part of this.
We have recently launched a football academy for KS5 students and the successful candidate could contribute to this to support career development.
We are looking for a candidate who is:
· An inspirational teacher with high expectations of students and themselves, who is determined to secure good outcomes for students.
· Able to teach core PE to KS3 and KS4.
· If possible, has experience of teaching OCR Cambridge to KS4 but not essential.
· Willing to generously give their time outside of lessons to students and colleagues.
· Actively supportive of the learning culture and values of the school.
· Committed to their professional development
· Resilient, has presence, boundless energy and a good sense of humour.
