We are looking for a Part-time Human Resources Manager at our Rotherham, South Yorkshire location.
General Purpose of the Position:
In this standalone position, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for planning, organising, supporting and improving human resources activities. Responsible for providing a professional and efficient HR service across all parts of the employee life cycle. In addition to remaining current with all applicable employment legislation, this role requires the individual to develop and enforce policies and procedures and be responsible for recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation and benefits, and regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Update and administer HR policies and procedures and answer employee questions regarding same.
* Manage administration of benefits and payroll changes, liaising closely with finance team.
* Manage full recruitment and selection process, including all new hire documentation.
* Manage the performance review process.
* Manage termination of employment.
* Schedule training and development in conjunction with departmental managers.
* Provide coaching, specific training and information updates.
* In conjunction with management, provide resolutions to employee relation issues.
* Keep job descriptions current.
* Prepare and maintain accurate, up to date and complete personnel records.
* Maintain human resource database.
* Provide research as required.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
* CIPD level 5 essential / level 7 preferred
* Relevant business experience.
* Strong knowledge of current UK employment law.
* Strong presentation, written, and verbal skills.
* Ability to identify developmental needs of employees and to provide coaching, mentoring, and other help.
* Strong morals and ethics, along with a commitment to privacy.
* Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
* Keen interest in achieving results and proactively driving change.
* Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
* Computer literacy, including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required.
* Attention to detail in all areas of work.
* Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
