Inclusion Thurrock is seeking to recruit an Employment Specialist who would be part of our friendly committed, professional IPS employment team. We are currently going through a tender process and the role may be subject to TUPE.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and skilled, who can be creative and sensitive while supporting our clients back into the workplace or support those who are already in employment to both maintain their roles and thrive.
Main duties of the job
This role is part of an innovative, dynamic, IPS employment service, aligned and working closely with Inclusion Thurrock Services, Adult Community Mental Health Teams, Early Intervention in Psychosis, and Recovery College to support people with mental health problems with employment needs. Evidence-based supported employment, Individual Placement and Support (IPS) is the model being used, and the post holder will be instrumental in its implementation guided by the IPS team leader.
The role will involve working directly with care coordinators, Jobcentre Plus, employers, trade unions, and employment agencies to keep people in employment and secure employment opportunities. You will work closely with practitioners in Thurrock Community Mental Health teams, and primary care and secondary care services serving Thurrock. This is an exciting partnership between a number of NHS providers and the local voluntary sector, keen to make a real difference to the vocational outcomes of people accessing our services.
Job responsibilities
The post holder will support service users within the community framework as part of their clinical care team to gain, return to, or retain employment. The role will involve working directly with care coordinators, Jobcentre Plus, employers, trade unions, and employment agencies to keep people in employment and secure employment opportunities. The post holder will work closely with practitioners in Thurrock Community Mental Health teams, Recovery College as well as more specialist services such as Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) and other secondary care services serving Thurrock.

£29,970 to £36,483 a year plus Fringe HCAS rate of 5%
