Job summary The RUH is expanding our Acute Medicine Consultant Team to build on our successful Acute Medicine Team. We are looking for a substantive Consultant in Acute Medicine and would consider part and full-time applicants. You could have a specialist interest in an additional specialty to complement the team Main duties of the job The attached Job Description contains a example Job Plan however, we are open to discussion. There is a rolling rota which encompasses 7 day cover for the short stay unit and patients remaining in the medical assessment unit currently shared with the Registrar. We provide daily intake rounds and daily rounds to the short stay area. We provide senior support to the ambulatory care area including providing treatments and assessing new patients. There is a daily morning post take round taken by general physicians and a separate elderly care round. You may be asked to participate in the general internal medicine on-call rota.
