The Reagent Production Technician will be responsible for the preparation, formulation, quality control and kitting of reagents in compliance with documented procedures. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, biology, or a related field, along with hands-on experience in laboratory or production settings.
About the role:
* Prepare, formulate and dispense reagents according to established protocols and specifications.
* Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including pipettes, centrifuges, and microplate readers.
* Perform quality control tests to ensure reagents meet required standards for purity, stability, and performance.
* Document all production activities, including batch records, inventory logs, and quality control data.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety and good lab practice protocols.
* Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues, including deviations or non-conformances.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain, to support production goals and timelines.
* Monitor and manage inventory of raw materials and finished products to ensure adequate supply levels.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and enhance product quality.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or equivalent experience
* 1-3 years of experience in a laboratory or production environment, preferably in reagent manufacturing or a related industry.
* Familiarity with working within a QMS
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols accurately.
* Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software for data analysis.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
